Where to Go From Here
Hopefully you have found these lessons to be easy to follow, and workable for a range of elementary school grades. The lessons form a good basis for learning the background concepts of 3D Printing and 3D Space, and are especially useful if a 3D Printer and computers for each student are not available.
After completion, if you wish to go further with your students into 3D printing, exploring Tinker CAD -a drag-and-drop CAD program is a great option. Our next project will be creating a curriculum geared towards High School students, but several of the earlier lessons will be applicable to the higher elementary grades, as well as middle school students.
3D printing is a great educational tool, and once students learn a beginner CAD program, they will gain satisfaction from creating and interacting with their own 3D models, learning essentials of design, product development and engineering from a young age.
Enjoy learning and exploring these new concepts!
